Vertec works with the following companies to offer cloud services such as the Vertec Cloud Suite. Vertec offers all such services under the ISO 27001 certification for information security. For this reason, we prefer to work with suppliers who are also ISO 27001 certified. This means that we and these suppliers have been verified by an external, independent auditor for the level of protection and the technical and procedural measures taken.

) mentions and refers to the documentation obligations according to the data protection laws, but also wants to explain transparently to all customers and leads which supplier provides which service and which level of confidentiality and data protection respects.

To send emails in the Vertec Cloud Suite, customers can use a Mailgun account provided by Vertec free of charge. Technically speaking, Mailgun can access the contents of emails. In addition, the company does not have ISO 27001 certification and has not been instructed on § 43 e para. 3 BRAO or Art. 13 BGFA. Customers can integrate their own SMPT service in Vertec at any time or not use the service provided by Vertec via Mailgun.

Vertec uses Microsoft services for AI-based document data recognition. For this purpose, expense and payable documents uploaded to Vertec are sent to Microsoft AI services. Automatic receipt recognition must be explicitly activated in Vertec; if receipt recognition is disabled, no data is transferred to Microsoft. Microsoft and all services used are ISO 27001 certified.
Microsoft acknowledges that Vertec is subject to legal obligations to allow access to customer’s client information and that failure to comply with such obligations may result in criminal penalties for the parties involved under Section 203 of the German Criminal Code (custodial or monetary penalty). Microsoft is bound by the terms of its contract with the customer to maintain confidentiality.
