Updated: 26.09.2024 | Article generalized, the problem can occur in general with Windows updates.

After updating Windows, it may happen that in the format settings for German (Switzerland) the decimal sign for numbers is no longer the period, but the comma, and as a grouping of digits the period instead of the semicolon.

Another problem may be that a typographic rather than a mathematical quotation point is entered as the symbol for grouping numbers.

This means that for input fields that are not based on the currency format, the separators of the numerical block, etc. no longer work, which also has an effect in Vertec, e.g. when entering the services.

Remedy

In the Windows profile under Region and Language > Format > More settings, click the Reset button or enter the correct symbols manually.
