Release notes 5.6

In addition to many practical features, Vertec’s release 5.6 also brings significant performance improvements for customers who use Vertec in conjunction with the Firebird database. The new version 2.5 of Firebird is installed automatically with the Vertec Setup.

The most important in brief:

• During service entry, pause times can be entered both via PC client and with web entry and the iPhone app, which are deducted from the calculations.
• With the iPhone app you can send SMS directly from the contact.
• In addition, all pending activities (taks) are available via the web capture.
• Holiday credits also scale automatically in the event of a change in employment level below the year.
• Users can restrict the editing of address layouts via user rights.

• The document path can be defined for each object class.
• When entering services, expense entry and outlays for other employees on a proxy basis, the selection of projects and project phases refers to the right of the employees for whom the proxy is entered.
• VAT types that are no longer used can be deactivated. They are retained for calculations.

• It is also possible to print out an ESR payment slip for reminders and partial amounts of an invoice.
• In benchmarking (today: Business Intelligence ), in addition to the normal contribution margin (costs minus invoiced services), the calculated contribution margin (costs minus invoiced and open services) is now also available.

• The release includes the latest version 2.5 of the Firebird database, which brings a significant performance improvement and simplifies operation over WAN and VPN.
• Different field lengths for input have been increased.
