The services view is shown by default when you open Vertec. Also, if you open a new tab with the + button, the list of the services is shown. This you can return to the current services entry at any time. To enter a service, go to the row marked with an asterisk and select the project for which you want to enter a service. Once you select this, the service is created and appears in the list.

Note: In versions prior to 6.4.0.19, the folder was called Open services and showed only open services.

You will notice that some information such as the date,  you as the user, and the defined hourly rate have already been entered. You can enter additional information manually such as phase, service type and text. As soon as you enter the hours, the service becomes valid and the red symbol disappears. You can also start the timer for the service by pressing CTRL + space bar and run it for the duration of your activity. As soon as you stop the timer (CTRL + space bar), the accumulated working time is allocated to the hours time entry.

All working hours and services entered for a project appear in the services subfolder.

Presence time

The presence time list is useful for entering services in Vertec. It enables you to enter several from-to time periods per day, like with a stamp clock. Practical are the totals for presence time and entered services, as well as the difference between them, which are listed in the footer of the presence time list. Based on this information, iyou can quickly see whether services have been entered for the entire presence time.

The individual service

Double-clicking on a service in the list opens the more detailed individual view. In the lower part of the detail view, there is a section called chargable (external) values. If you want to charge the customer differently than the entered value, you can overwrite this here. Do not change the entered value; instead, change the external value so that the originally entered values remain for evaluation purposes.

Weekly table

You can also enter your services in a weekly table. This is found in the weekly table folder just below the services. This is especially useful for users who work on the same project for a long period of time or always work on the same tasks.

Services overview

For a clear presentation of all the entered services, the services overview is available just below the weekly table. The totaled service values are shown in a matrix per week, month or year. You can select the required period from the date dialog.
