The cloud server has an App Portal for cloud clients. When you access your Vertec URL directly, the App Portal is shown:
Opens the Web App directly in the browser. The button is just a link to the relevant URL, where the Web App is located. This URL can also be called up directly, e.g. via a bookmark. It does not require installation.
This button enables you to install the Cloud App locally on your client. Click on it and execute the downloaded installer.
During the installation, you are asked whether you want to install additional components, such as the COM extension, the Explorer add-in, and the protocol handler (for copying and sending Vertec URLs ). Installing additional components requires local administrator rights on your Windows client.
Once the Cloud App is installed, you can launch it on your client using the desktop shortcut.
During the installation process:
%localappdata%\Vertec Cloud App
, from which the installation takes place. The Cloud App and its Vertec.ini file are saved there. The name of the subfolder is based on the server name. This allows different cloud apps from different servers to be installed on a client. This is particularly useful if, with the Cloud App, access to multiple Vertec instances
is required, such as, for example, in a test environment
.VertecReport.dotm
is also saved in order to generate the legacy Word reports
.The Vertec Phone App is available for download in the App Store and on Google Play . You can find out how to connect to your Vertec in the article Phone App: installation and configuration .
The Vertec Outlook App comes in two editions: the Windows edition and the Web edition. In the Windows edition, the Outlook App runs in the local Windows client along with your locally installed Outlook. In the Web edition, the Outlook App is installed online in Microsoft 365. You can find more details on this in Outlook App: installation and configuration .
