Your challenges
Independent operation, development and testing of our Vertec Cloud Services and all virtual network and infrastructure components
This includes, for example, monitoring, maintenance, support, release management, backup/restore of several cloud and web services based on Windows Server and Ubuntu
Conduct and monitor internal and external pentests to ensure availability, integrity and confidentiality (cloud security management)
Active vendor management of cloud hosts, developers and DevOps providers
Optimize, document and automate our CI implementation
Active participation in our processes, cloud services and architecture
What it takes
Enjoy your work
Several years of Windows and Linux experience in system engineering
Strong affinity for IT security
Ideally a Microsoft Certification (MCSA)
Desire to independently build up know-how on new technologies and platforms
An efficient and team-oriented personality
Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Conscientious and forward-looking planning and working
Knowledge of German and English (good spoken and written)
Basic knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash and Powershell an advantage
Understanding of network management and expertise with Docker and nginx
Experience with CI pipelines and tools such as GitLab CI, Ansible and Terraform
Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools, e.g. Grafana or OpenObserve
