Vertec 6.7 released

We are pleased to present you with Vertec version 6.7, our latest major release. This year’s major release has many exciting new features for you.

The Outlook App not only has a redesign, but also an extended range of functions. More functions are also available in the area of document management: Thanks to the ability to save documents directly on an activity, they are always at hand quickly.

Also on board is the implementation of Single Sign On via OpenID Connect. Of course, with Vertec 6.7, you are also prepared for the upcoming VAT adjustment in Switzerland.

In addition to design adjustments in the UI to improve clarity, the Outlook App introduced with Vertec 6.5 also offers new features. We are pleased with the customer feedback on the Outlook App, which we have taken into account in the further development.

For example, the combo boxes for searching for projects and addresses have been redesigned. Search results appear as a drop-down list. Since the search is only triggered manually by a click, a performance improvement is achieved especially for many entries.

The drop-down lists by service type or activity type can be filtered ad-hoc as you type to make it easier to find.

There are also innovations in saving emails. Here an essential wish of our community has been implemented: When an email is received, it is now possible to save it as an activity regardless of the address. If neither the e-mail address nor the contact is known, the following three options arise:

• Create new contact
• save only the email
• Create contact and save email

Save Outlook calendar entries as an activity in Vertec with just one click. Similar to saving emails, you can now save activities from calendar entries directly to projects, project phases, or service types in Vertec.

From now on, take advantage of a very simple way to quickly create and send emails. Use Vertec report templates, you can define the content of the email, as well as the logic of which contextual data should be used, such as the recipient of the email. Then, when composing an email in Outlook, simply select the template you want and let Vertec generate the email content. Textual adjustments can then be made.

Vertec 6.7 also offers a significant innovation in terms of document management.

It is now possible to saves documents directly to an activity. Your Advantage: With this you get a lightweight, cloud ready document repository directly in Vertec. The document can be accessed directly via the activity. The documents are saved in the Vertec database and are available in the Cloud App and Web App regardless of location. Document in Word format can even be edited directly from within Vertec with the Cloud App.

To make it easier for Swiss Vertec customers to handle the VAT increase to 2024, the code and rate of a VAT type are now date-dependent. This means: do not enter new VAT types in Vertec, but simply enter the new rate for existing ones from 01.01.2024.

Start Vertec and Microsoft 365 comfortably with just one authentication: OpenID Connect makes it possible.

The benefit is not only the time savings that results from not having to log in to two applications, but also less hours. There is no need to manage and secure two accesses. For example, Single Sign On (SSO) and the reduction of login data contribute to an additional level of security and order.
