Since 1988, the LBD has been advising the energy industry. Highly experienced, knowledge-driven and forward-looking: capacity markets, renewable and decentralised energy generation and capacities, energy transition products, energy efficiency, electromobility, smart metering. CO2 avoidance: climate protection: energy transition. It advises on the new market design that this new energy system needs and on the entrepreneurial potential it offers – in the markets of the energy industry and along the entire value chain.
LBD was looking for a business software that maps all core processes. This includes the planning of employee resources for an availability overview, an easy and simple way to bill freelancers, numerous internal evaluations within the software and the clear presentation of their framework contracts.
Due to digitalization and the growing market, LBD was looking for software to map its internal processes more efficiently. Since it has a lean internal infrastructure, the company relies on an external IT operation. Business software in the cloud was a fixed setting during the evaluation. Another special feature is the use of Apple devices with iOS and Mac OSX within the company. Vertec convinced, at this point, as entering of services for Mac users is easily possible via the Web App and/or for mobile use via the Phone App.
LBD wanted to support the planning of all resources with corresponding additional functions. In Vertec, these individual requirements could be created by customizing the software.
Now, LBD can immediately see how many working hours employees have already been scheduled for or how many hours have been accounted for each individual employee. This resource overview within Vertec is used to plan the next few months in the organization. The competencies and skills of each employee are essential for this, and are also used to select resources at the project level. Through individual adjustments, LBD was able to create its own employee scheduling according to its individual ideas without having to implement third-party systems. Vacation planning is also possible with Vertec’s resource planning.
LBD accesses the following values for MRP in Vertec:
With the availability of employee resources, taking into account vacations, the company can now react and reschedule faster in the event of bottlenecks.
The LBD relies on a new model for freelancer billing – the credit procedure. By service entry of the individual freelancers directly in Vertec, credit notes are created based on these services and paid out to the freelancers. This is checked by an approval procedure of the project leader. The freelancers only receive a view of their own active projects by granting user authorizations.
Before the software-assisted entering of services, the LBD evaluations were also carried out via Excel lists. With the implementation of Vertec, this changed and the evaluations are now shown easily and comprehensively within the software. In addition, various reconciliations to the results are also eliminated, so that the LBD saves a lot of time. The implementation of contribution margin accounting at employee and project level enables even better controlling of commercial activities. The digital data enables the LBD to show evaluations directly in Vertec within seconds without the need for third-party software.
LBD has agreed framework agreements with its customers and managed them manually beforehand. With Vertec, the company can now manage these directly in the software and map the corresponding relationships between customers and projects. The framework agreement can store the duration, individual agreements, rate levels and other parameters, among other things, and evaluate them globally for all framework agreements.
