conplement supports companies in recognizing and realizing their digitalization potential. In co-innovation, the Nuremberg-based company develops new products and business models quickly and concretely together with its customers. A mix of coaching, solutions and actual implementation creates added value from software, data and networking.

The core competencies of the Nuremberg-based company fit very well with Vertec’s transparent philosophy. After a joint pre-project, conplement was able to introduce Vertec almost independently with the help of a small consulting contingent.

In iterative steps, conplement has implemented an individual sales evaluation, which also includes probabilities, a company-specific, automated invoicing process, and an invoicing forecast tailored to internal needs. Classic such as service entry and travel expense accounting are also part of the overall solution.

“Vertec’s transparent knowledge base and open extensions were the ideal starting point for independent customizations and enhancements,” emphasizes Frank Hauptlorenz, responsible for the Vertec implementation at conplement.
Base on conplement’s core business, Frank Hauptlorenz quickly discovered the potential and capabilities of Vertec beyond standard functionalities and developed a web application that allows customers to submit and track support tickets via the web.

These tickets are synchronized with Vertec via an XML interface, without customers needing direct access to their own system. This provides end-to-end transparency and a complete customer overview in Vertec.

As a result, conplement was quickly able to map company-specific processes in Vertec on its own. Further functionalities were added to the software, such as an individual mapping of a complex invoicing process, depending on individual customer contract situations.

In addition, conplement employees can subscribe to certain “events” in Vertec and are then notified immediately when they enter, for example when orders arrive or leave requests have been approved. “We have many other ideas,” says Hauptlorenz, who is currently working on an Outlook enhancement, for example, where emails can be assigned to a Vertec project or phase directly in Outlook and are marked as “already assigned” in Outlook.

The implementation project at conplement shows in an exciting way how the advantages of standard software can be combined with the advantages of a tailor-made individual solution. In coordination with Vertec, conplement can continuously adapt and expand the solution in an agile manner. That is why release capability for standard software is indispensable to guarantee future viability.
