Vertec and Microsoft 365

Local use

If the Microsoft 365 apps (Word and Excel) are installed and used locally, then there is no difference to the use of other Office versions such as Office 2019 etc. In this case, they are completely normal Windows applications, and the term Microsoft 365 refers only to the licensing model.

For working with Outlook as a local Windows client, there is the Vertec Outlook App Windows Edition.

Online use

If Microsoft 365 Word and Excel are used online (without local installation), the operation takes place from Vertec via the SharePoint Online DMS extension:

• Office Reports can save their output directly to Sharepoint. The result is shown in Office Online and can be processed directly.
• Documents can be opened and edited in Office Online from within Vertec.
• With the Vertec Explorer add-in, locally stored documents can be saved directly to SharePoint.

Office Reports with PDF output do not require Office, even for viewing, online or offline.

To work with Outlook in Microsoft 365 or in your web browser, there is the Vertec Outlook App Web Edition.
