Created: 18.10.2022
Updated: 14.12.2023 | System Settings Set Adjusted Net Capacity (Percent) from Vertec 6.7.0.5

In this section, you can make basic settings for Resource Planning :

Custom net capacity (percent)

Available from Vertec 6.7.0.5. Shows, in the utilization graphs , a third line with the reduced net capacity. The capacity graphs , in turn, show the reduced capacity as the free capacity.

This is useful if, for example, only 80% of the time is to be planned in order to be able to react flexibly to unforeseen events.

PropertyName: CustomNetCapacity . IntegerProperty . Default setting: blank

Number of planning intervals

Specifies how many intervals are shown in the views by default. The period is calculated from the start of the planning period plus the number of planning intervals.

PropertyName: CustomNetCapacity. IntegerProperty . Default setting: 6

Date format for column heading

Displays the date values in short or long formats in the column header as follows:

Planning interval Short Long
Day 04.11.24 Mon 04.11.2024
Week CW45-2024 CW45 04.11.2024
Month Nov 24 November 2024

PropertyName: ResourcePlanningHeadingDateFormat . SelectionProperty . Default setting: Short

Planning level

Project or phase: You must decide whether you want to operate Resource Planning at the project or phase level. A combination is not possible.
At phase level, you can only plan on the first level of phases. Planning on subphases is not possible, except in the case of planning on user-phase allocations .

PropertyName: ResourcePlanLevel . SelectionProperty . Default setting: project

Changing the planning level

If the planning level is changed while the operation is already running, the planning data of the respective other level are no longer displayed. Switching from project to phase level and vice versa is not carried out.

Planning interval

You can choose between day, week or month. A combination is not possible.

PropertyName: PlanningInterval . SelectionProperty . Default setting: month.

If this setting is not already set, the following message appears when calling up Resource Planning:

Change the planning interval

If the planning interval is changed while the operation is already running, the following message appears:

The existing data is converted to the new planning interval. If there is a large volume of data involved, this can take a very long time. If the interval has to be changed, we recommend that you perform the changeover at off-peak times or at night and set the planning interval to Not set first. In this case, no more planning data can be entered. This ensures that no data is lost.

Start of planning period

Here, you can choose between current interval and next interval. This is interpreted as follows:

  • Planning interval “Day” with number of planning intervals >= 5: first day of the current week
  • Planning interval “Day” with number of planning intervals < 5: current day
  • Planning interval “Week”: first day of current week
  • Planning interval “Month”: first day of current month

PropertyName: DisplayPeriodStartInterval . SelectionProperty . Default setting: Current interval.
