Depending on the configuration, a Windows security warning may appear when you start Vertec.

If Vertec files are downloaded from the internet for an update, the files may be marked as unsafe. This can cause Windows to display a security warning when such an unsafe file is started.

1. Call the properties of Vertec.Desktop.exe (Rechtsklick - Eigenschaften).
2. Under General, click the Zulassen button.

   

3. Close the window with OK and restart Vertec.

1. Open Windows Internet Options.
2. Under Security, click on the entry lokales Intranet and then press the button Sites. The following dialog will appear:

   

3. Make the settings as shown in the screenshot above and click on Erweitert. The following dialog will appear:

   

4. Enter network drive + share name, e.g. S:\Vertec, and click Hinzufügen.
5. Close Internet Options.

• Vertec.Desktop.exe was loaded from a computer that is not part of the internal network (or domain). This may be related to starting Vertec from a UNC path. In this case, try starting Vertec from a network drive.
• User policies do not allow a program to start. In this case, the user policies must be adjusted to allow Vertec to start.
