You can customize the list of possible types of communication channels available for address management under Settings > CRM > Communication channels.
The following five types are predefined: telephone, fax, email, homepage and mobile. Other types of communication channels can be entered as required.
Name of the new communication channel. This then appears in the selection list.
Specifies the order in which the types appear in the selection list.
The internal type makes it easy to distinguish between the types in the system. The internal type consists of one letter, which must be unique.
For the types already predefined, one communication channel can be defined as the default in address management. Please do not change or delete the predefined communication channels, otherwise the default mechanism does not work. For further information, see communication channels.
In order for the default mechanism for self-defined communication channels to work, the internal type must match one of Vertec’s specified types (T, M, F, E, H). If there are several communication channels with the same internal type, they “share” the default mechanism.
