When a project is completed, you can deactivate it. Inactive projects no longer appear in the combo box when services etc. are entered, but they remain available in the system for evaluation purposes.

You can easily deactivate a project by removing the checkmark next to Active. The project icon then appears gray (see Validity / Status of entries).

When deactivating a project, consider the following:

  • The logged-in user needs administrator rights or must be a member of the group Administrators. Only the administrator has the authorization to activate and deactivate entries in Vertec, unless you explicitly define the user rights differently.
  • Deactivating a project means that the relevant project no longer appears for selection when it is entered:
  • Services entered for the project to track time, expenses, outlays and downpayments remain as they are. If you want to close a project, make sure that you charge all outstanding fees before deactivating it.
  • If you use Resource Planning , make sure that there are no more resources planned for the project before you deactivate it.
