If a service or expense is already shown on an invoice (charged or not), the following applies:

  • If the service or expense is already on another project's invoice, a message appears that it cannot be moved.
  • If the service or expense is already on an invoice for the same project, it can be moved.

Otherwise, a service or expense can be easily assigned to another project by drag & drop or by simply selecting another project in the project selection list.

Assigning phases

If a service or expense is assigned to another project (e.g. by changing the project in the project selection ComboBox), and both projects have phases, an attempt is made to find a phase of the same name in the new project and to assign the entry to it.

If the new project does not contain a relevant phase, proceed as usual: If System settings > Project > Assign default phase is set to Yes, the first phase (default phase) is assigned, otherwise none.

If it is not possible to assign a phase to the service due to the definitions saved on phase assignments. No phase is assigned either. The service appears red (invalid).
