This was the Vertec User Conference 2024

Lively exchange among 250 participants

On November 6th, we welcomed a total of 250 participants at this year’s Vertec User Conference in the beautiful location “THE HALL” in Dübendorf. The perceptible positive energy and lively participation show that the personal exchange about Vertec was yet again very popular and appreciated.

In addition to exciting technical presentations, the main focus was on the dialogue with our customers. Vertec is only constantly improving thanks to the valuable feedback from our customers.

In this blog post, we relive the evening and give an insight into the interesting presentations of our speakers.

An outlook to Vertec 6.8

Tobias Häusler (Development Manager) and Tobias Wielki (Managing Board of Vertec Germany) present the highlights of the upcoming Vertec version 6.8, which offers numerous practical innovations and user-friendly features.

The optimized Phone App enables improved entering of services, absences and presence times, direct preview of emails and documents, and an activity feed for addresses and projects. In the area of Business Intelligence (BI), version 6.8 provides gives you the full overview: pie charts visualize billing-relevant amounts, pre-defined KPIs provide better analyses while the BI module gives you direct access to folders and a new legend.

With additional features such as full-text search and spell checking, Vertec becomes an even more powerful tool for working efficiently.  

Software caretakers in action

Hans Jakob Becker (Head of Project Management), together with Ulrike Huber (42virtual Business Services GmbH) and Benjamin Boksberger (hpo management consulting ag), shows us how important it is to have a “caretaker” of the Vertec software. Only through continuous maintenance and optimal management the software is able to perform in its latest version and tailored to the needs of the company. The Vertec caretaker ensures that Vertec runs smoothly and adapts perfectly to changing requirements – an invisible but indispensable pillar of success.

The successful migration to the Cloud Suite

Claudio Ernst from Libera AG shows how switching to the Vertec Cloud Suite has made his company’s daily work much easier and reduced costs by 25 % on the long run. Choosing Vertec’s cloud solution has brought many benefits to the company, including high scalability and a future-proof infrastructure that is well-prepared for future challenges.

Digitalization in the Legal Sector – Ways to Efficiency and Transparency

Urs Osterhellweg from Lean Business AG, Jan Berger from Wenger Vieli AG and Adrian Rufener from Rufener Recht + IT describe their experiences with the implementation of Vertec in the legal sector. They illustrate how the targeted digitization of legal work processes can significantly increase efficiency and, at the same time, make the complex processes of a law firm transparent and clear. Digitization with Vertec makes it possible to automate time-consuming tasks such as performance recording, mandate management and invoicing, freeing up valuable resources, while respecting data protection and compliance requirements.

Cyber Security in Focus – What is Pentesting?

With avantguard cyber security GmbH, Vertec is supported by an experienced partner in the field of IT security. Jann Lemm explained that Vertec is fully committed to cyber security and showed how customers can actively contribute to security. He explained how Pentesting as a preventive tool helps identify security gaps and to close vulnerabilities in a targeted manner.

Additional features – Vertec as a flowering garden

Ute Heimann (Head of Product Configuration) compares Vertec to a garden where hidden plants – the additional features are waiting to be discovered. With illustrative examples, she shows how targeted care and the integration of these functions can make Vertec’s “garden” flourish and optimally meet individual needs.

Roadmap

Claudio Pietra (Managing Director) and Tobias Häusler (Head Development Manager) provide a brief overview of the roadmap. Participants had the opportunity to provide feedback and express their wishes for future features via a survey – a direct dialogue that actively shapes the development of our software. We also said goodbye to Samuel Iseli, Head of Research & Architecture, and thank him for his valuable contributions to the development of Vertec for over 25 years.

After the exciting presentations, attendees were able to talk directly to experts at their information booths, ranging from Vertec support and Customer Portal to additional features and Cloud Suite. Sales partners such as appGenerics GmbH,Lean Business AG and Spektra Netcom AG were also present. Industry tables also offered the opportunity to network and exchange ideas among lawyers, consultants, engineers, software manufacturers and fiduciaries to make valuable contacts and learn best practices from their own industry.
