Onboarding › Project and case management
The project is the central element. The project provides all the information that is relevant for project management. Project management in Vertec can be adapted to individual needs.
Projects include all offered and agreed services that belong together in terms of time and/or content and are assigned to exactly one customer. Settings and budgets can be defined for each project and hourly rates can be assigned. The planning of capacities is supported by the resource planning implemented in Vertec.
The effectively rendered services and expenses are entered within the project and invoiced to the customer. In addition to the customer, the project also has other external roles such as the invoice recipient or the ordering party. Internal roles such as project leader, administration and other users can also be assigned to the project. In addition, basic settings such as rate, currency and project language are defined.
Activities can be used to view and manage project-relevant emails, file storage, information about meetings and appointments directly on the project.
If a project is to be divided into subprojects, this can be done with the help of project phases. As with the project, budget values can also be stored on individual phases, which are used to compare planned and actual values. In addition, project phases can be defined as flat-rate phases. The fixed amount corresponds to the budget amount. Services entered in these phases or the fixed amount only appear on the invoice when the phase is marked as completed.
Vertec offers very good opportunities to monitor and control projects.
With the business intelligence module, all data entered in Vertec can be evaluated and graphically displayed, such as the development of costs, compliance with the budget and the contribution margins of projects.
In folders, projects can be displayed and filtered according to different qualities, and their data and calculations can be conveniently displayed in lists. The additional project controlling feature creates folders that provide information on active and inactive projects, group projects by areas or categories, and contain evaluation lists that provide insight into project budgets and contribution margins. All Vertec lists can be exported to Excel at the push of a button.
Also worth mentioning is the large number of reports with which evaluations can be output in Word, Excel or PDF. Tailored to project controlling are the reports Project Control, Work Started, Budget Overview, Invoice Proposal and Project Evaluation.
In connection with project management, the following additional features are available:
Creates a set of folders for project controlling, with detailed project searches, budget controlling and gross margin evaluations.
Knowledge BaseCreates a sample project template, which can be selected after creating a new project and from which the template values are transferred to the new project.
Knowledge BaseImplements the revenue forecast from phase budgets and revenue forecast from phase budgets weighted for the business intelligence module (BI), with which the fee budget of project phases can be viewed linearly and weighted over the cycle time of a project.
