Any number of communication channels can be entered per address entry. For a more detailed description, five types are predefined: telephone, mobile, fax, e-mail and homepage. If more than one communication channel of the same type is listed in the list (two e-mail addresses in the example below), one of the entries is defined as default by setting the check mark in the last column Default. For example, if a word template is created for an address (menu Drucken), this default value can automatically be used in the expression.

In the column Bezeichnung you can define the communication channel more precisely. In the column Mittel you can select the type of communication channel based on the initial letters H, E, F, M, T.

Commschannel for contacts and couples

For contacts and couples, the communication channels of the associated companies and persons are shown. However, it is also possible to specify own communication channels directly on the contact or couple. Such directly entered communication channels become the default on this entry and can be recognized by the fact that they appear green in the list:

Send e-mails, visit homepage

You can easily send e-mails from within Vertec. Right-click on the grey box next to the desired e-mail address and select E-Mail senden. The e-mail program will automatically open and enter the e-mail address as the recipient address. To use this functionality, a standard e-mail program must be defined on your computer.

You can show the homepage by right-clicking on the corresponding homepage address in the list and selecting Homepage aufrufen. A browser window will open and the desired homepage will be shown.

Define other types of communication channels

The five predefined types are phone, mobile fax, email and homepage. Further types of communication channels can be created under settings > CRM > Communication channels. This functionality is only available in the Expert line.
