Baloise Group’s Legal and Tax Department relies on Vertec

Zurich – The Legal and Tax Department of the Baloise Group has opted for the implementation of Vertec, a Zurich-based software company, in order to be able to manage its cases even more efficiently. The lawyer’s software won the competition because the standard software can be adapted precisely to customer requirements.

For more than 150 years, Basler Versicherung has been making its customers safer. The Baloise Group, headquartered in Basel, Switzerland, is a European provider of insurance and pension solutions. It positions itself as an insurer with intelligent prevention, the “security world”. In Switzerland, it acts as a focused financial services provider, combining insurance and banking. The other markets are Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg and Liechtenstein. In the course of the evaluation, the Baloise Group’s Legal and Tax Department examined various systems. Vertec, the integrated CRM and ERP for lawyers, was awarded the contract.

“The business software can be perfectly adapted to our customers’ requirements,” says Andreas Burki, Head of Legal and Taxation. A. Burki continues: “We want to be even more active in managing and administering the work organised in our department as “cases” more efficiently.”

To implement the full-text search, it was also decided to use the Lawsearch Enterprise document search. For this purpose, an integration of Vertec and Lawsearch Enterprise of the company Weblaw is created by means of an extension. The aim is that users not only have the opportunity to enter, manage and archive the dossiers with Vertec, but also to be able to benefit from a high-performance search of all documents entered in Vertec – but also of documents in all other databases integrated in Lawsearch Enterprise.
