To ensure that Vertec was at the disposal of the specialists of the newly founded Denkgebäude AG from the start, Vertec stepped on the accelerator: The preparations and implementation of the software took less than a month. Since then, Vertec has grown with the company and forms an important basis for sustainable project management.

Denkgebäude AG works as a consultant and planner in the real estate sector. Its areas of expertise include sustainability and the life cycle of buildings, neighbourhoods or building portfolios. The company ensures that the properties allow mature use in the long term or offer good conditions for redevelopment even when constructing a building or designing a settlement. “We know what we have to pay attention to today so that our customers do not face problems in thirty years’ time,” says Dieter Breer, Partner and co-founder of Denkgebäude AG.

Long-term planning sometimes means that time is running out at short notice. This is what the company’s five equal partners experienced when they founded Denkgebäude AG. “It was important to us that we have a functioning CRM and ERP system from the outset,” says Breer, an energy and industrial engineer. The partners decided to implement Vertec’s software in March 2013. When their company effectively started work on April 1, 2013, Vertec was already fully available to employees. “In this way, we were able to document all customer and project data uniformly from day one,” says Breer. “This is enormously valuable – especially with regard to the long-term use of the data.” In addition, the company was able to carry out a regular billing cycle just one month after the company was founded.

The software has proven its worth in the new company. “Vertec enables us to efficiently carry out the usual charging of services according to hours in consulting. It also enables us to keep the expenditure control necessary for planning up-to-up to date at all times, which allows us to optimise project controlling,” says Breer. In addition, Vertec was involved in the development of Denkgebäude AG: The number of users could easily be increased when new employees joined the company. Sustainability expert Breer is pleased with the adaptability of his software: “Vertec thus fulfils an important criterion for a sustainable solution.”
