The Vertec Webaccess service will be discontinued on 31.03.2025.

Our partner Spektra Netcom has launched their own Webaccess service , which is available immediately.

In addition, you have the following alternatives.

Switch to Vertec Cloud Suite

Customers can move their existing Vertec instance to the Vertec Cloud. In most cases, this is possible with a manageable amount of time. Your Vertec advisor or the support team would be happy to help you look into this option. In terms of internet availability and security, we assume most of the tasks in this scenario.

For more details, read our German-language blog Mit Sicherheit in die Cloud wechseln – dank dem Vertec Cloud Abo .

Place the Vertec Cloud Server on the internet yourself

The Vertec Cloud Server is optimally prepared to be on the internet itself, with a certificate for identification and encryption.

To do this, you usually need port forwarding on your firewall and to purchase or install a public certificate.

You can find out more about this in the article Cloud server: provision and security .

Note: If your Vertec is available over the internet, it is generally accessible to everyone, not just to you, if the URL and user name are known.

Therefore, it is extremely important that you use an up-to-date Vertec version and that all Vertec users have secure passwords . We strongly recommend you combine it with 2-factor authentication.

You can find detailed information on this topic in the article Authentication overview .

Use Vertec only via VPN

A Vertec On-Premises instance can also be accessed via VPN. However, the security requirements are lower, since the VPN performs the encryption and only those who are in the VPN can attempt to log into Vertec.

In this scenario, the Phone App will not be available (except if you have invested a lot of time to achieve this). The Desktop App is also not suitable for access via VPN, as it does not perform enough remotely.

You can find an overview of the security requirements in the article Vertec security in the network  .
