Additional classes are normal User Entry and can be used accordingly. They can be stored in folders like projects or invoices and filtered through Expressionfolder, and link types can be defined for them.
In Vertec there are 50 such additional classes: Additionalclass0 to Additionalclass49 (in versions before 6.6 to Additionalclass29). These classes can be given names, which appear in the title of the detail window and in the New menus. The configuration of the additional classes is done in the Class Settings .
In addition to the 50 additional classes that can be used for individual customizing, there are 50 additional classes for Plug-ins (PluginCustomClass00 to PluginCustomClass49), which may only be used internally by Vertec and not for individual customizing.
In the Settings > Class Settings folder, click New > Class Settings
.
As the class name, write additional class0
(or the additional class you want to define):
The other fields of the class settings can be filled in as required as per description in the article on the Class Settings .
Additional classes are used to create your own entries or summarize information. Therefore, custom field items can be defined on these additional classes. These are then shown on the additional class and can be filled with values and shown in the list view.
For this purpose, create normal custom field items in the settings and specify the corresponding additional class as data types, e.g. additional class0.
To ensure that the add-on class appears in the right location, it is linked to the corresponding entry in Vertec via a Customlink. A tab with the name of the add-on class appears next to this entry as soon as a corresponding entry is available.
Create a new custom link type. On the one hand, specify the Vertec class to which you want to link the additional class as the class name. On the other hand, specify the additional class, e.g. additional class0.
As an example, you want to be able to entered Cv for the people in your address management.
name
entry CV.class0
.,
class name additional class0.
Put a check mark under New menu, so that you can create the corresponding entries later.Designation user
, class name Project user
.From now on, you can create an entry CV for each user via the New menu and fill in the corresponding values.
The person who has such CV entries will have a “CV” tab showing all entries in the list.
The list settings shown above are as follows:
additional field('title’)
additionalfielddate('DateFrom’)
additional fielddate('DateTo’)
additional field('place of training’)
For a complete list of how to access custom field items via OCL, see the article Custom field items.
In order for the users to create such entries for themselves, the following user rights must be set:
The first user right accepts the rights on the corresponding class, in our example on the additional class0. With the user right on the additional class, the user right for the custom field items located on it is also accepted.
The second user right accepts the user the right to create CV entries. The field name for the user right corresponds to the designation of in the link type and can be selected directly from the drop-down menu.
