The requirements for running Vertec vary depending on whether Vertec is running on-premises or in the cloud suite.
Vertec im Cloud Abo is operated by Vertec, and customers can access it via the Cloud Clients web app, cloud app and phone app. The following prerequisites must be met:
The Vertec web app runs on all popular browsers. Users on non-Windows computers, such as Mac users, can also use the web app. In our experience, the web app runs the fastest and most stable with Chrome, Firefox or Edge.
The Vertec cloud app is integrated into your Windows environment, so you can also work with Microsoft Office, with the Vertec addins and with the local file system. The prerequisites are as follows:
Windows
Microsoft Office
The Vertec phone app supports the operating systems Android from version 9.0 and iOS from version 12.4
The system requirements for operating Vertec are determined by the Windows and Office versions used. Experience has shown that the minimum requirements set by Microsoft are sufficient for operating Vertec. Therefore, please refer to the requirements of Microsoft for the Windows and Office version you are using. Below is a list of the Windows and Office versions supported by Vertec. Older versions may also work, but are not officially supported by Vertec.
Vertec also runs on virtualized servers of the mentioned MS Windows Server versions as well as on Windows Server Core versions.
If you run Vertec with MS SQL Server (see below), then the minimum requirements of the server must also satisfy the SQL server used.
Experience shows that Vertec does not perform well enough on a small business server. The problem is not the small business server, but the Exchange server (supplied with it), which takes up almost all of the disk space and uses up the CPU . The size of the disk space does not play a role. Vertec should therefore not be installed on the same server as an Exchange server.
Since the Cloud Clients run Vertec sessions on the server, it should be ensured that the server has the appropriate service, at least 200-400 MB RAM per session. This concerns each client process or each client login of all apps, i.e. also the XML Server. All these processes use their own session.

Vertec also runs on Terminal Servers (Microsoft, Citrix) of the above Windows versions.
When running Vertec with Microsoft SQL Server (see Database Support article), the following MS SQL Server versions are supported:
Running network with TCP/IP protocol.
For employees outside the company, it is best to choose one of the following options:
For information on latency and speed factors related to Vertec, see the Performance article.
It may happen that Vertec is mistakenly classified as a threat by virus scanners.
In this case, make sure that Vertec.Cloud.exe or Vertec.Desktop.exe are whitelisted by the virus scanner.
If you are using Vertec-generated legacy or Office Reports , you must also make sure that the Vertec cloud app or the Vertec desktop app is allowed to run the files, otherwise an error will appear when creating them.
