Mailchimp Campaign with data from Vertec

Here’s what to do if you want to use Vertec data for a Mailchimp campaign.

1. In Vertec, create a list of the data you need for your Mailchimp campaign. Typically, this is a list of addresses from the address management, collected in a folder (e.g., Keyword Folder ). You can also create your query from an Expression Folder , SQL folder, or Query Folder .
2. Use the List Settings to customize the list of addresses to include the fields you’ll need later in Mailchimp. What always needs to be there is a column of email addresses. Below is a list of commonly used columns with the corresponding expressions:

3. Now that the list contains all the data you need, export it to Excel using the Excel export.

   

4. In Mailchimp, create a list and import or copy the data from the Excel file. In the list, match the fields from the Excel file to the corresponding fields that you can later paste into your Mailchimp template:

   

5. In your Mailchimp template, add the corresponding fields. They must have the same names as in the list above.

Vertec customers who use Mailchimp for their email campaigns export the addresses up-to-date in Vertec to Mailchimp for each campaign as described above. The back-processing is done manually in Vertec, there is no automatic data reconciliation.
