Using a manual folder (called a folder in Vertec) is shown if you want to create a folder structure in which you can categorize content. An object is included in the folder if it has been assigned manually.
This type of folder is also used for the Mapping of keywords used.
A new folder is created by right-clicking on an existing folder. Select New > folder.
The following window will open:

Name of the folder. |
Off reference |
Starting with Vertec 6.2, there is a field called Off Reference on every Vertec object. This can be used off. For more information, see the article about the Properties dialog. |
Classes |
Selection of the classes that the folder is allowed to include. |
list controller |
From Vertec 6.6 onwards, a list controller be deposited. |
Index |
The index allows you to specify the sorting in the tree. Vertec simply sorts the folders by ascending index. If nothing is specified, the folders are sorted by the objid. |
Icon (disambiguation) |
All icons in Vertec is assigned a number. If you want to use a different icon for this folder than the default icon (-1), you can enter the index of the desired icon here. The corresponding numbers can be found in the Icons article. |
Allow subfolders |
If you want to create a multi-level data structure and want this folder to have subfolders, allow subfolders must be enabled. |
Separate list for each type |
If the folder contains entries of different types, you can show a separate list for each type, see Folder contents with separate list for each type. |
keyword folder |
For categorizing and assigning the different entries in Vertec, the folder can be used here as keyword folder be labelled. |
Icon for subfolders |
As of Vertec 6.4.0.5. If an icon index is specified here (see also field above), it is automatically assigned as icon to newly created subfolders. Change in this value has no effect on existing subfolders. |
For class |
By activating the checkbox keyword folder the class of the entries must be entered here. |

Once you have made these adjustments, the new folder will appear in the folder structure. From now on, the allowed entries can be assigned either via keyword assignment or manually via drag & drop.
Note: To assign objects via a checkbox, the renderer can rndKeywordFolder can be used.
