The activity feed provides a complete history of all activities related to projects or cases. Authorized users get a useful overview of everything that is happening related to a project or a case. Thanks to the Vertec Outlook App, this information is also available directly in Outlook.

Use activities to manage tasks. With follow-ups, you can assign a responsible person and set a due date to a task. With notifications, you can get easily notified of due tasks.

Use keywords to select contacts for campaigns and mailings. Use the exported data for a variety of marketing and communication tools.

Event management supports you in the planning of corporate events and makes it easy for you to manage leads, attendees and cancellations, evaluate events and billing.

Vertec is deeply integrated into Outlook and allows you to work with both tools without having to switch all the time. In Outlook it is possible to:

Individual solutions for creating and updating rubrum have already been implemented.

Rubrum contains the most important information about the client and the content of the case. Rubrum later also includes the mandate interests and can be overwritten. In addition to the code, the representation also contains the client and the field “In matters”.

For the extended management of deadlines, customer-specific time limit calculators have already been implemented. These refer to country-specific rules and provide convenient views of the start and end of deadlines in Vertec.

How well does Vertec fit to my law firm?

Vertec has an interface to Microsoft SharePoint Online (Microsoft 365). The Vertec sales partner Lean Business AG distributes an M-Files Connector for Vertec. Customer-specific extensions also exist for the DMS iManage, for example.

“Business-oriented law firm management” means that in addition to file management, deadlines and invoices, Vertec also provides you with all the important data for the economic management of your law firm. This is completed by our “best-of-breed” understanding of software and our practice-based industry expertise for the rapid development of individual functions. The concept is based on easily customizable functions, which yet cover 80 % of the industry's standard requirements.

With only little effort, your specific requirements can be implemented in your software solution quickly and easily. Vertec stands for industry expertise, developed together with our customers in Germany and Switzerland.

Each law firm has individual requirements – be it for mandate processes, approvals or individual evaluations. Throughout our implementation projects, customer solutions are created that fit exactly to the relevant law firm. Our know-how from these implementation projects is used to further develop our software and make it better.

Different customer projects thus create a common basis for functions such as invoice splitting or deadline management. As soon as a completed function is ready, we publish it for free as an “additional feature” on our Knowledge Base. This is how industry expertise becomes software.

The field-proven additional features usually provide at least 80 % of the functionality of a requested function. The 20 % remaining can be delivered lightly and quickly with individual adjustments.

The migration of data from legacy systems to Vertec is an important part of a successful implementation project. The blog article What is a good balance of migrated data? shows the differences between minimal variants and full migration.

As for law firms, data must also be considered for the conflict check. Our experienced project management team has already supported numerous migrations and is happy to support your law firm as well.

Yes, it is possible to allocate different user rights in Vertec. These rights are then valid throughout the Vertec software.

The following permission types are possible:

  • Data read only
  • Execute reports and scripts
  • Edit data (write, enter, delete)

User rights apply on user group level and affect all users of a specific user group.

Test instances are created fully automatically via our Customer Portal. The trial period is 30 days and ends automatically. For technical reasons, it cannot be extended.

Alternatively, before the 30-day period expires, you can either renew it by purchasing at least one Vertec license or sign in again with a different email address. Purchase of a license will allow you to continue working with the database and URL used in the original trial period.
