Absence approvals

This feature supports the management of absences in the workforce

The “absence approvals” feature makes it easy to manage your employees’ absences. Two user groups, each with different read and write rights, allow you to quickly record absences.

Team leaders can approve absences by clicking on a checkbox. Employees can be assigned to one of the two user groups beforehand and can then enter their absences independently. These are then shown to the team leader for approval. Depending on the right granted in the respective user group, absences from other teams can also be approved.

Accepted approvals are listed in a separate subfolder where they can be filtered by different criteria.

How it works

The root folder “HR” is created if it does not already exist by using the additional feature “HR”. In addition, the folder “Absence approvals” is created and the subfolders “Absences for approval” and “Absences released” are added.

To use this additional feature, the Vertec “Expert” product line is a prerequisite.

The Out of Office Shares additional feature uses the following scripts:

  • Event: Log approval of absences
  • Event: Set absence inactive on change
  • Event: Set new absence inactive
