Second user conference for German law firms
The second User Conference for our German law firm clients showed once again that the exchange between users and software vendors is immensely valuable, and a lot of fun. In the impressive office space of RITTERSHAUS Rechtsanwälte PartmbB, we met with Vertec users from renowned law firms. The aim of the day was to foster a constructive exchange about the central law firm processes in Vertec. But the interaction with surrounding systems is also of great importance in law firms.
For example, the joint presentation given by Ute Heimann (Vertec) and Maximilian Reinhard from Legalian was a real highlight. It quickly became clear that clean and up-to-date data in the law firm software is not a nice-to-have, but rather a must-have for law firms. And even if everyone dreams of this working at the push of a button, in reality it requires clear processes, a lot of discipline and leadership.

Measures, BI and individual insights
The discussions about key measures and evaluations were also lively. Each firm has a slightly different approach: Some need overviews at partner or department level, others think more in terms of corporate structures. The preview of Vertec 6.8 and the new BI features were very well received. Small firms, in particular, see great opportunities here, because evaluations are often still new territory – and Vertec can help close this gap.
Address management and KYC
Address management is a long-running favorite topic. The legal industry has very clear ideas about this. We discussed the requirements for address management and are keeping an eye on developments. The discussion also showed how intensively our customers think about the important details of law firm processes.
At the first User Conference for lawyers in 2024, the topic of Know Your Customer (KYC) was in focus. Vertec announced that we would be developing a KYC check. We have since implemented this feature and it has been well received.
Third-party money management, receivables calculator and practical solutions
Of course, third-party money management was also discussed. It became clear that simple solutions are often enough. The main thing is that they are practical. The same can be seen with the issue of receivables calculators. In discussions with customers, the idea arose of connecting the receivables calculator of an external provider to Vertec. Such pragmatic ideas arise when we talk to engaged customers and look for solutions together.
Lots of closeness and great trust
The atmosphere was constructive and relaxed throughout the day. During the apéro, there were many more conversations, some spontaneous brainstorming and the good feeling that this conference is more than a mandatory event. The feedback was clear: The flexibility, proximity and reliability of our team make the difference for our customers.
